In 2007 Innovation and Excellence Clusters will be able to build on the achievements of programs such as Science in Schools, School Innovation in Teaching (Maths, Science and Technology) and the improving mathematic and science project. 

Clusters are encouraged to utilise their Educators to improve student capability in Mathematics and Science through building teacher knowledge and teaching capacity in these areas.
